Hahaha! I totally understand—they are a bit confusing if you’ve never used one before. Fill the pan with about an inch of water. Bring a boil, then put the eggs in and put the lid on. 3-4 minutes gets you a soft boiled egg, more for a solid egg. I normally just shake the pan to see if the whites are solid and the yolks are runny instead of setting a timer. 🙂
