If you head to the Table of Contents on the post, you’ll see a link to the section about cashew cream’s versatility. In that part of the post we link to recipes for using cashew cream to make sour cream, ice cream, alfredo sauce, creamy salad dressings and dips, queso, and a little further down you’ll find a link for cashew ricotta (used in vegan stuffed shells)! I hope that helps get you started!

Hi Danette! Raw cashews sold in stores are not truly raw cashews—they are cooked to remove a toxin that can make you sick. No need to worry about any of that with this recipe!

It’s for both reasons 😉 Also good to soak in something that can kill the fungi/mycotoxins. Sadly cashews is full of these issues… but still my favourite substitute.

It’s a bit annoying, but I keep a spoon in my mug and stir regularly. Also, I’ve found fresh cashew cream mixes in much better than older cream.

I’ve been trying to get off dairy and have tried every substitute for my half and half in my coffee but none of them were thick and creamy enough for me. I made the cashew cream heavy cream level and it is amazing!! I can’t wait to try some of the other versions of this recipe. Thanks so much for sharing!

We found it to be a wonderful substitute. Thanks so much!
