But if you can’t find any that are large enough, you can also cut out whatever shapes you want with a sharp knife. Some great options are pumpkins and ghosts because they have a large, mostly round shape thatโs easy to decorate.
If you can’t find cookie cutters and don’t want to freehand the shapes, don’t worry, you can still make Halloween pizza by getting creative with your toppings. Try using half an olive as the body of a spider with strips of bell pepper for its legs. If you want to double the recipe, use two large pizza doughs and double the amount of sauce and toppings youโll need.
Mini Halloween Pizzas
Kids will love these mini Halloween pizzasโespecially if they get to put on the toppings themselves! These pizzas are perfect for a Halloween party or pre-trick or treat dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 large pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 6 pepperoni slices
- 1 black olive, sliced
- 6 ounces of pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line or grease a baking sheet.
- Roll out your pizza dough onto a floured surface. Using large Halloween cookie cutters or a sharp knife, cut out 6-7 mini pizzas (either pumpkins or ghosts or a combination of both) and place them on the baking sheet.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly on each pizza.
- Top with the mozzarella cheese.
- Carefully cut a few pepperoni slices in crescent moon shapes, then cut out triangles for the jack-o’-lantern teeth. Cut a few more triangles for the eyes and noses.
- Arrange the olives on the ghosts to look like eyes, and arrange the pepperoni pieces for fun jack-o-lantern faces!
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-11 minutes, until the crust is crisp and the cheese is melted. Serve!
