To keep this Unwedged Wedge Salad in a Jar fresh and crisp, be sure to keep the wet ingredients (the dressing and tomatoes) far away from the lettuce. The onions and bacon will shield the greens from getting wet. Just donโt tilt the jar until it is time to eat, and youโll be all set!

There are two factions of wedge salad eatersโthose who use ranch dressing, and those who use blue cheese dressing. Iโm going to let you in on a little secret: theyโre both totally delicious! In fact, sometimes I go wild and mix half ranch with half blue cheese for these salads.

Unwedged Wedge Salad in a Jar
Weโre taking the classic Wedge Salad off the plate and into the jar with this Wedge Salad in a Jar! Pack it up for an easy and nourishing lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 wide-mouth pint and a half jar
- 3 tablespoons ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing (or a mixture of the two)
- 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1-2 cups chopped iceberg or romaine lettuce
Instructions
- Layer the salad ingredients in the order listed into the jar, packing in as much lettuce as you need to create a tight pack. Cover the jar, and place it in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.
- To eat, dump the entire contents of the jar into a bowl, toss, and enjoy!
