Chicken Caesar wraps are a popular and delicious lunch option that are easy to prepare and perfect for people on-the-go. These wraps feature succulent chicken, crisp romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and creamy Caesar dressing, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Chicken Caesar wraps are a satisfying lunch option that can be enjoyed at home, at work, or on-the-go.
These super easy chicken Caesar wraps spotlight two of our favorite kitchen shortcutsโrotisserie chicken and pre-made salad dressing. Sure, youโd save cash if you roasted your own chicken and made your own salad dressing, but sometimes you need to save time instead of cash. Thatโs where semi-homemade cooking comes in! These chicken wraps are ready in less than five minutes, meaning you can get a healthy lunch packed or a light dinner on the table FAST.

What does a chicken Caesar wrap contain?
To make these chicken Caesar salad wraps, you’ll need:
- Rotisserie chicken. We don’t always have time to roast our own chicken, but the tender chicken you get from a store-bought rotisserie chicken is perfect for wraps like these!
- Caesar dressing. You can use our homemade Caesar dressing or lean on store-bought.
- Flour tortillas. You’ll want the big, burrito-sized ones here. Anything smaller won’t be able to contain all the filling!
- Romaine lettuce. Other lettuce will work, but the crunch of romaine contrasts nicely with the tender chicken and creamy dressing. Plus, a classic Caesar salad uses romaine!
- Cherry tomatoes. If tomatoes are super out of season, feel free to leave these out. Their flavor can definitely be lacking in January where we live!
- Shaved Parmesan cheese
- Croutons
Are these chicken Caesar wraps good for meal prepping?
I am a big advocate of meal preppingโespecially when your schedule is hectic! Just an hour or even half an hour can make a BIG difference when it comes to having healthy, nourishing food available during the week. These Chicken Caesar Wraps are great for prepping ahead because you can pre-make the elements, and then just assemble them when itโs time to eat!
To prep these chicken wraps ahead of time:
- Shred the chicken and toss it with the dressing.
- Break the lettuce leaves off the head. Wash and chop the lettuce.
- Shave the Parmesan cheese if it isn’t already.
Now you can just pile everything onto the center of the tortilla and wrap it up in the morning!
Won’t the wrap get soggy if you make it in advance?
You can make these wraps a few hours in advance (like making it in the morning for lunch later), but if you want to prep ahead more than a few hours, I recommend making all the individual elementsโmixing up the chicken, cutting the lettuce, etc.โand assembling right before you eat.
A good tip for packing any sandwich or wrap for eating laterโuse lettuce as a barrier to keep your bread dry. I like to put the lettuce down first in these wraps, then the chicken and tomatoes on top.
How long will these chicken Caesar wraps keep?
Fully prepared, Iโd eat these wraps within a few hours. They are safe to eat after that, but the croutons and tortilla tend to get a bit soggy. However, the individual elements will last 5-7 days in the fridge.
I hope youโll remember that itโs okay (even healthy!) to take some shortcuts when you need them! Be gentle with yourself and your time. Enjoy!
Chicken Caesar Wrap Recipe
This Easy Chicken Caesar Wrap Recipe is perfect for a packed lunch that goes beyond a boring desk salad.
Ingredients
- 1 rotisserie chicken, meat removed and shredded (save the bones and skins for stock)
- 2 cups prepared Caesar salad dressing (homemade or bottled)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup whole grain croutons
Instructions
- In a medium-size mixing bowl, mix the chicken and salad dressing until well combined.
- Lay out a tortilla on a cutting board, then layer 1/4 of the chopped lettuce, 1/4 of the chicken, 1/4 of the tomatoes, 1/4 of the cheese, and 1/4 of the croutons. Wrap the tortilla burrito-style, then serve immediately.
Notes
To make these ahead for lunches: leave out the cherry tomatoes and croutons. When layering the wrap, layer the lettuce first to create a "barrier" between the chicken and the tortilla. Once assembled, eat within a few hoursโI wouldn't recommend making these more than a few hours in advance.
